On the 5th of december 2010, the Association of Belgian Professional Photographers, celebrated their 60 year anniversary. During this celebration there was also a portrait-competition for people who where older than 60 years. The winner, the photographer and also the model, got from the Antwerp World Diamond Centre a jewel with a diamond. I was selected with 3 images in the final and also won this competition.

The yearly Colour Art Photo Congres took place at the end of november. Every year there is also a competition among the members in a theme. Last year the theme was "bodylanguage" where we won the 1st prize. This year the theme was "white". The colleague photographers rewarded us with the 2nd prize.

In an oldman's resthouse, we created a photo-exposition. There were 55 portraits of the people who lived there.

Unizo, an organisation of independant companies, nominated 10 companies among their members, for the contest of the most creative company. As independant photographer, we were nominated for our creative way of thinking and the way we use the press to communicate.

In the category of Portrait, we got a bronze award

In the category Black/White and Colour, we were nominated with these pictures, for this International Art Exhibition.

Every two years, there is in Boubon-Lancy, a city in Bourgondy (France), an international portrait exhibition. During this festival 'Eté-des-Portraits', a lot of international colleague photographers come together. Also there is a big exposition outdoor. We took part at the exposition with 3 potraits of a Chinese with his buzzard in the snow.

Since more than a year, I work together on a voluntary base with an autistic person. He likes taking pictures very much. Every two weeks we come together and we are making portraits of his friends who are living together with him. In april, when all the families came together for a bbq, we organized a little exposition with the portraits.

Last year we invited two Chinese colleague photographers for a 10-day visit at our place. These two Chinese friends invited us back for a visit at China and also to have Chinese NewYear with them and their families. Unforgettable the memories and lovely friendship we received from our Chinese friends.

Together with my son Tom, we have started Chinese language lessons. The local press made an article about son and further, who learn Chinese.
